What moves the price on this route

Stairs, lifts and dismantling

Builder floors are the big one on the Delhi side. No lift means beds, wardrobes and sometimes sofas come apart and go down by hand, which adds people and hours. In Jaipur, an independent house with a narrow internal staircase can take as much effort as a fourth-floor flat. Our surveyor asks about access at both addresses before pricing anything.

Where in NCR the truck starts

Loading in Dwarka or Gurugram puts the truck near the Jaipur road almost at once. From Noida, Ghaziabad or East Delhi it has to cross the city first, and Delhi's limits on heavy vehicles can turn that into a split plan with a smaller vehicle or a much longer day. Extra truck hours show up in the price.

Shared or dedicated truck

A shared truck is cheaper because diesel and the driver's time are split between several customers. Over a distance this short, though, fuel is a smaller part of the bill than on a cross-country move, so the gap between the two options narrows. Ask for both prices on the same written quote and compare them.

From Diwali through the winter wedding season, trucks and crews in Delhi and Rajasthan get booked up and quotes firm up with them. Month-end weekends are busy all year because rent agreements usually end then. If your date can slide to the middle of a month in a quieter season, it tends to show in the number.
