House, office and vehicle shifting in Indore
Old Indore and the new townships are two different jobs
Say you're moving out of a house near Rajwada or Jawahar Marg. The lanes are tight, shops open early, and by evening the Sarafa food stalls take over the street. A big truck isn't going to stand outside your door. We send a smaller vehicle and a few extra hands, carry things out to a wider road and load the main truck there, ideally in the morning before the market fills up.
Vijay Nagar, Nipania, Bicholi Mardana and the Super Corridor are a different story. Roads are wider, but you'll be dealing with towers and townships that have lift slots, gate entries and fixed shifting hours. Older colonies like Palasia, Tukoganj, Manorama Ganj and Sudama Nagar are mostly independent houses. Access is easy there, though heavy sheesham furniture and years of things in the store room take time to pack.
Parking along AB Road and MG Road is tricky during the day, so we work out beforehand exactly where the truck will stand.
How do you protect things in Indore's summer heat?
April and May regularly go past 40°C here, and heat is hard on electronics, veneer and anything glued. A few things we do in those months:
- Pack and load early, and keep the truck closed rather than parked with its doors open in the sun
- Wrap the TV, fridge and washing machine in cushioned layers, with small electronics in the Perfect Box
- Cover wooden furniture with the Fabric Sheet so the polish doesn't pick up dust and scratches
On your side, defrost the fridge the night before. Keep medicines, jewellery and important papers in a bag that travels with you, not in the truck. Monsoon moves, usually late June to September, get moisture-resistant outer wraps instead.
Shops, offices and the Pithampur belt
Offices along AB Road, MG Road and in Vijay Nagar usually shift on a weekend, with every desk and cabinet labelled by department. Traders moving stock out of Siyaganj or Malharganj can have us pack after closing time, count the cartons and load them in order, so checking at the new godown is quick. Factories at Pithampur, Palda and on Sanwer Road need a site visit first to look at machine weights and how a truck gets in. Our office relocation page has more on commercial moves.
Moving from Indore to another city
Bhopal is the shortest regular run, about 190 km and 1–2 days. Ahmedabad is around 390 km and takes 2–3 days. Mumbai (about 590 km) and Pune (about 610 km) also take 2–3 days, and Delhi, at roughly 730 km, usually takes 3–5 days.
Household goods travel in the closed, lockable Trucking Cube, so they aren't mixed with anyone else's consignment. A car can come along on a car carrier, and a scooter rides in our Bike Stand. If your flat in Pune or Mumbai isn't ready when the goods get there, we can keep them in storage till it is.

What decides the cost of shifting a house in Indore?
Start with how much there is to move and how far it's going. Then comes packing, since a glass dining table takes more material than a steel almirah, and the truck size. Access changes the crew too. A second-floor house near Rajwada with no parking needs more hands than a Nipania flat with a service lift. Extras such as storage are listed separately.
Can a truck reach homes in the old city near Rajwada?
Usually not right to the door. Lanes around Rajwada, Sarafa and the older markets are narrow and crowded, so the truck parks on the nearest wide road. We carry goods out by hand or shuttle them in a smaller vehicle. Loading is planned for quieter hours, and we stay clear of the evening, when the Sarafa night market sets up.
How long does a move from Indore to Mumbai take?
Expect 2–3 days after loading. By road it's roughly 590 km, south through Dhule and Nashik on the Agra-Mumbai highway. Mumbai buildings are strict about shifting hours, so the actual unloading slot depends on your society as much as on the road. Your move manager fixes that slot with you and keeps you posted during transit.
What should I keep aside on moving day?
Keep one bag that travels with you and not in the truck. Put in medicines, jewellery, cash, laptops and chargers, important papers like property documents and school certificates, and clothes for a day or two. Tell the crew which bag it is so it doesn't get packed by mistake. Keep house keys and your phone charger handy as well.
Can you shift a shop or godown out of Siyaganj?
Yes. Wholesale areas like Siyaganj and Malharganj are packed during trading hours, so we usually start after the shutters come down. Stock is counted, packed in labelled cartons and loaded in a set order, which makes checking at the new godown quick.
