In Pune, the society sets the moving day

In Pune the society office often has more say over your moving day than we do. Most gated complexes in Wakad, Baner, Kharadi or Hadapsar want a written move-out permission, a service-lift booking and sometimes a no-dues letter before the guard lets goods through the gate. Some don't allow shifting after dark or on Sundays. Find out the rules at both ends about a week before, pass them to your move manager, and we'll set the crew's timing to match.

The old city is a different job altogether. Around Sadashiv Peth, Narayan Peth and Budhwar Peth the lanes are narrow and there's nowhere to park a truck, so we carry goods out to a smaller vehicle and transfer them on a wider road. Older buildings there often have steep, tight staircases, which means a big wardrobe may have to come apart before it comes down.

How long does a move across Pune and PCMC take?

A 2BHK going from Kothrud to Wakad, or from Viman Nagar to Nigdi, usually runs like this. We pack the day before, load early the next morning to stay ahead of the traffic around Hinjewadi and the Wakad bridge, and unload at the new flat the same day. A bigger home or a slow society lift can push unloading into the evening, but it rarely spills into a second day.

On the day, keep the society's permission letter on your phone, because the guard will usually ask to see it before the truck leaves. Keep one small bag aside too, with laptops, documents, chargers and medicines. That goes in your car, not in the truck.

Offices, MIDC units and IT teams

For offices we label each workstation, monitor and chair by desk number, so people can sit down and log in on Monday morning. That's why most office shifts here happen over a weekend. Tech parks add their own rules, usually a goods-lift slot after office hours and entry passes for the crew, and we sort those out with the facility team in advance. Units in Bhosari and Chakan MIDC are treated as industrial jobs, with a site visit first. Your maintenance team disconnects the machines, and our crew packs, loads and places them at the new shed. Leaving Pune for another city

Mumbai is about 150 km down the expressway and takes 1–2 days door to door, mostly because unloading has to fit the building timings at the other end. Goa (about 470 km), Hyderabad (about 560 km) and Ahmedabad (about 630 km) each take 2–3 days. Bangalore is about 840 km and takes 3–5 days. Delhi, at roughly 1330 km, takes 5–7 days.

From June to September the ghats get very heavy rain. Trucks slow right down on those sections, and every carton gets waterproof wrapping. Goods travel in our closed Trucking Cube, which you lock with your own key.
