Home, office and GIDC shifting in Vapi, Daman and Silvassa

Homes in Vapi town and the newer areas

Vapi is really two places. The old town around Zanda Chowk and Main Bazaar has busy market streets where parking a truck at noon just isn't going to happen, so we load early there. Chala, Gunjan, Chharwada, Dungra and Chanod grew up later alongside the GIDC, and societies in those areas usually want a lift booking and fixed moving hours. We check both on the free survey so the right vehicle and crew size turn up.

A lot of people living here came for a job at the industrial estate, so a Vapi move often follows a transfer or a new offer. Give us your joining date and we'll plan backwards from it. If the next house isn't ready, your things can stay in storage in the meantime. A normal flat in Vapi is packed, loaded and unloaded in a single day, while a large bungalow may need packing to start the evening before.

Plant and warehouse shifting in Vapi GIDC

Vapi GIDC has chemical, pharma, paper, plastics and engineering units, and moving any of them takes proper planning. We visit the site, list machinery, spares, packaging material and non-hazardous stock, agree the loading order with your team and pack each item to suit its weight. Shift timings at the plant usually decide the loading window, so we work around them. Offices get labelled packing so staff can restart quickly; the office relocation page explains more.

Chemicals, solvents and other hazardous material are a different matter. They need specialised handling under your own safety procedures, so please tell us about them at the survey and we'll plan the rest of the move around them.

Is shifting to Daman or Silvassa a problem?

Not really, but there are check-posts. Daman and Silvassa fall in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and since Gujarat is a dry state, vehicles coming back in from the UT side are routinely stopped and checked. We send an itemised packing list and a copy of your ID with the driver, which usually keeps the stop short. Most of these short cross-border shifts finish in a day. A bigger house or an office may need packing to start the day before.

Moving the other way, from Daman or Silvassa into Vapi, works the same. Just keep the rent agreement or allotment letter for the new place on your phone, in case someone at the check-post asks where the goods are headed.

Mumbai, Surat and longer routes

Surat is about 120 km north and Mumbai about 170 km south, and both usually take 1–2 days, mainly because Mumbai deliveries have to fit the city's goods-vehicle timings and the new society's rules. See our Mumbai page for that end. Pune (about 300 km) and Ahmedabad (about 340 km) are also 1–2 day moves. Bangalore is about 1110 km and Delhi about 1160 km, and both take 3–5 days.

Monsoon rain in south Gujarat is heavy from late June to September, so cartons get a waterproof outer layer in those months. Goods ride in the closed Trucking Cube and crockery in Perfect Box cartons. Cars go on a car carrier, bikes on our Bike Stand, and transit insurance is available if you want it.

Moving in Vapi: frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions customers ask us most.

What decides the moving cost in Vapi?

For a home, the volume of goods, the distance and the packing come first, then floor level, lift access, vehicle transport, storage and optional transit insurance. For a factory or warehouse, machinery weight, lifting equipment and the number of trips matter too. We visit for a free survey and send an itemised written quote.

Which areas in and around Vapi do you cover?

All of Vapi, including Chala, Gunjan, Chharwada, Dungra, Chanod, Koparli, Balitha, Salvav, Namdha, Zanda Chowk and every phase of Vapi GIDC. We also move goods to and from Daman, Silvassa, Pardi, Valsad, Umbergaon, Sarigam and Bhilad. Share your address and we'll confirm the pickup details.

How long does a move from Vapi to Mumbai take?

Usually 1–2 days for the roughly 170 km drive on NH48. The drive itself is short, but Mumbai's goods-vehicle timings and your new society's rules decide the unloading slot, so delivery is often planned for the next morning. Your move manager confirms the plan and keeps you updated.

Do you shift goods between Vapi and Daman or Silvassa?

Yes, these short moves are common because many people live in one place and work in another. The truck passes a check-post at the Gujarat boundary, so we keep an itemised packing list and a copy of your ID with the driver. That usually keeps the check quick, and most of these moves finish in a day.

Can you transport a car or bike out of Vapi?

Yes. Cars go on a car carrier and two-wheelers on our Bike Stand, which holds both tyres so the bike stays upright. If you're transferring out of Vapi, the vehicle can travel with your household goods so everything arrives around the same time. Keep the RC and insurance papers handy and ask about transit insurance.
