Mainland, islands and the old town
Kochi isn't one compact city, and the route matters as much as the address. Central Ernakulam, around MG Road, Kaloor, Kadavanthra and Panampilly Nagar, is packed with apartments where you'll need a lift slot and somewhere for the truck to stand. Kakkanad and the Infopark side have grown fast, with bigger complexes and wider roads. In Fort Kochi and Mattancherry the streets are old and narrow, and a smaller vehicle often ferries goods out to the main road.
If you live on Vypin or Willingdon Island, the bridges decide the timing, and they're slow at office hours. Vyttila and Edappally junctions can hold a truck up for a long while too, so we try to be past them early. Plenty of independent houses in and around the city sit at the end of a long, narrow drive, and the surveyor checks that during the free pre-move survey before choosing the truck.
How do you stop mould on a monsoon move?
Mostly by packing everything dry. From June to September the southwest monsoon brings days of steady rain, and the air stays damp for much of the year. Teak or rosewood furniture wrapped while it's damp can come out spotted with mould a week later, and leather bags and shoes go the same way. So our own trained crew wipes things down, packs under cover and seals cartons properly before anything goes near the truck.
Fragile items get 4-layer packing. Crockery and glass go into our Perfect Box cartons, which take the bumps of a long highway run, and polished furniture is covered with our Fabric Sheet. Keep photo albums, certificates and important papers in a sealed bag that you carry yourself. If there's a gap between handing over your house and getting the new one, we can hold your goods in storage.
Transfers and Gulf moves
Many Kochi moves are transfers. People working at the port, the shipyard, the Naval Base or an Infopark company often have a joining date that can't shift, so your move manager plans back from it, and we give you an itemised packing list for your records.

Road routes from Kochi
Thiruvananthapuram is about 210 km by road and takes 1–2 days. Bengaluru (about 470 km) and Chennai (about 680 km) take 2–3 days. Hyderabad is about 1,040 km and takes 3–5 days, while Mumbai, about 1,370 km up the coast, takes 5–7 days.
