Office shifting in Gurugram, the NCR and beyond

Plenty of national and international companies are based in Gurugram and the wider NCR, and growing firms often move to be part of an established business hub. We work out of our branch in Gurugram and our corporate office in Navi Mumbai. Some of the offices we move are only going across the city. Others are heading to another city altogether, or into a newer business district.

Office moves are sensitive work. Delicate and breakable items have to be packed and arranged in a set order, and every day the office is shut costs the business money. A small office with a handful of desks and a full corporate floor get the same approach from us. We plan carefully, pack systematically and keep the disruption as small as we can.

What we move, and what your team should do first

• Workstations, desks, chairs and conference room furniture
• Computers, monitors, printers and other IT equipment
• Files, records and confidential papers, in sealed and labelled cartons
• Pantry appliances, glass tabletops and fragile decor
• Industrial equipment, through our industrial moving service

Before packing day, ask staff to clear personal things off their desks. Your IT team should back up data and disconnect systems. Confidential files are best sorted and sealed under the eye of the department that owns them. If the new premises are still being fitted out, furniture and records can wait in our warehouse until you're ready.

How do we plan an office relocation?

1. Site survey. We visit, free of charge, to assess the volume, the fragile items and access at the building.
2. Quote and schedule. You get a written quote upfront and a move plan agreed with you to keep downtime low.
3. Labelling. Items and cartons are labelled by department so they end up in the right place.
4. Packing and loading. Our own trained staff pack delicate items separately and load everything in order.
5. Unloading and placement. Furniture and cartons are set out according to your new layout.

One point of contact, and the admin around the move

You'll deal with one dedicated move manager from the survey until the last carton is placed, so your admin team isn't chasing several vendors. We don't outsource labour. The people handling your equipment are our own trained staff, goods are protected with 4-layer packing, and transit insurance is available if you want the cover.

Some of the work sits outside the move itself. Tell clients, vendors and your bank about the new address. Update your GST registration and other business records as required.
